Hager PBM secures crucial podiums at Oulton Park
The championship fight is still alive!
The Hager PBM Racing Team successfully executed a vital damage-limitation strategy during Round 6 of the ZYN British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park, fighting through a challenging weekend to secure consecutive podium finishes.
Rider Scott Redding showcased immense resilience across the three races after feeling under the weather for most of the weekend. After securing a solid third-place finish in the opening race on Saturday, Redding and the team pushed through set-up hurdles on Sunday. He battled brilliantly to take third place in Race 2, before going one better in the final race of the weekend to cross the line in a superb second place.
The hard-earned haul of points leaves Redding sitting firmly in second place in the overall standings with 274 points, keeping the Hager PBM Racing Team in prime contention for the 2026 championship crown.
Reflecting on the weekend's events, Hager PBM Racing Team Co-Owner Jordan Bird commented:
"So that’s the end of Round 6 here at Oulton Park, it seems a bit strange to be here in the Summer because this is usually a bit later in the year. It’s been a bit of a tricky weekend for us, I don’t think Scott has been feeling 100% and we have been a little bit out of the window with bike set-up.
"But, to come out with a second in the third race here was damage limitation for us, we will head to Thruxton next and see where we end-up, but the Championship fight is still alive and I am looking forward to seeing where we are at the end of the year."
The ZYN British Superbike Championship now takes a brief summer breather before heading south to the ultra-fast Thruxton Circuit for Round 7, where the Hager PBM Racing Team will look to unleash the full potential of their machinery and close the gap at the top of the standings.
