The legacy lives on

Thirty years of TT livery

In 1996, a 24-year-old bricklayer from Morecambe arrived at the Isle of Man TT with no expectations, riding a Honda RS250R sponsored by long-time friend Paul Bird.

John McGuinness finished 15th in the Lightweight TT, lapping at 109.57mph and taking best newcomer in class. It was the start of a journey that would make him one of the greatest road racers of all time.

Decades later, a fifth-place finish and 132.2mph closing lap proved the pace, passion and legacy are still very much alive.

We couldn’t have been prouder to see John cross the line once again in PBM Racing Team colours at the 2026 Isle of Man TT. Thanks to everyone who made this possible.
